Jaw implants recovery. Is this normal?

I have had jaw implants 6mm a month and a half ago and I still have noticeable inflammation around the cheeks and jaw, is that normal? how long should I wait for the inflammation to go?

This is difficult to tell without before and after pictures. I recommend following up with your surgeon about your concerns. Swelling and inflammation can be typical and will last for several weeks. Hope this helps.

We have patients that can vary in the length of time for swelling and inflammation to resolve; but typically between 1-3 months is the average (obviously its an average based on patients individual circumstances); Not to worry you have time to heal. Hope all will work out well.
