I'm 20 years, I do heavy lifting including hip thrusts, deadlifts, squats, abductor exercises, cable exercises, among others. Lately I've been considering getting buttock implants. Is there any complications after getting implants? Would I still be able to workout as I currently do? I'm terrified that the implants might explode or move when working out.
Answer: Working out after buttock implants Although no surgery is without risk and no surgeon can guarantee you a 0% complication rate, I have operated on hundreds of patients who are exercise fanatics and even professional competitive athletes in many different sports including powerlifting and bodybuilding. They all have been able to get back to performing their exercises and craft at least 99% of the time. Hope this helps.

Answer: Can I perform heavy weightlifting including hip thrusts, deadlifts, cable exercises, abductors and squats post implants? Hi there, thank you for your question. As implants are placed inside of the gluteus muscle, they are affected from hip movements a lot. That's why; you should be careful with your moves at the early period, otherwise; implants might be flipping or replaced. You can return to your daily activities 2-3 days after the butt implant surgery. After 1 week, you can go for short walks and after 1 month, you can take long walks. At the end of 3 months, you can start with light weights and after 6 months, you can do heavy lifting.

Answer: Can I perform heavy weightlifting including hip thrusts, deadlifts, cable exercises, abductors and squats post implants? There is always a very small chance that extreme exercise tendencies may disrupt a surgical result. Having satisfied the required eight-week recovery period, you should be able to return to lifting. Use common sense in not overdoing it as you get back into your typical workouts.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Mariafe2703, generally speaking, you should be able to continue your activities after implants. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
