Botox 3 months ago - is fat pad and cheek drop permanent? (Photos)

Question

Hi, I had crows feet botox 3 months ago now and it caused the fat pads under my eyes to drop causing the bags to show. Once the fat drops is it possible the muscle will lift it back to its original position? also my cheeks have dropped. My right cheek doesn't lift like the left one does... I've included photos. Will all of this correct with time or is this permanent?

Thank you for posting your question. Botox can uncover facial asymmetries, and if Botox caused the changes, they would most likely be temporary, and your face will adjust as the Botox wears off. As the Botox gradually fades and you do not see the changes you wish, dermal fillers can help with eye bags and hollowness and check argumentation for facial balance and symmetry. You should consult with an experienced, qualified injector for guidance about your concerns and a personalized plan to address any issues.

I'm sorry you are having issues from your Botox treatment.  These effects are temporary and should fade gradually.  You should return to your pretreatment look 3-6 months after treatment.  I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your injector.

Botox is generally very well tolerated. However, by temporarily weakening the facial muscles, it can sometimes uncover some underlying asymmetries to our face. Luckily, the effects of the treatment will continue to fade away with time once the muscles regain strength. Take care and be well.

Botox would not cause your fat pad to drop.  Have a follow up with your injector as you may need some filler in your upper cheek for some of the volume loss you are experiencing.
