Is it normal for Botox for crows feet to wear off after 6 weeks?

Botox should not be wearing off after 6 weeks. The treatment results do fade gradually, but not generally until 3 or 4 months. The number of units used is less than is typical. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon for treatment.

The duration of effect is largely determined by the dose injected. The studied dose for crow's feet that resulted in 3-4 month duration is 12 units per side. There is of course individual variation in treatment duration as well. Things like exercise, metabolism, and heat exposure (sauna, sun, etc) can all affect duration. At your next treatment, you could ask whether a higher dose would be appropriate for you, which may result in a longer treatment duration.

Yes that is normal as we tend to use that muscle more than others. Of course I can not be sure how many Botox units were used but make sure they are not under treating that area. Should use at least 10 to 12 units per area.

There are several red flags in your question. First, Botox should last at least 3 months and, in my practice, an average of 5-6. Second, you had your treatment by a dentist, who does know some head and neck anatomy but not the external muscular anatomy. You need an injector like a plastic surgeon who knows that anatomy intimately. Thirdly, 15 units is not adequate for the crow's feet. they require at least 20-24 units always. Perhaps you did not want to pay for more, but, when done correctly, it actually ends up less expensive. I do not sell Botox by the unit, only by the area for that reason. I suggest you find another provider who is an expert.
