Thank you for your question. I do not think that pushing a ruler into one’s pubic fat will provide anadequate measurement of the thickness of this adiposity. That being said, I am not completely sure ofthe clinical relevance of the specific thickness. Obviously, when liposuctioning the area, itis important to do evenly, so that the entire area is symmetrical and uniform, but I am not quite sure how the absolute measurement of its thickness would beof benefit. With best regards.
Dear sglovesy, I agree with Dr Wallach. The pinch test is the best way to assess the excess amount of fat. In the pubic, if the pinch test is thicker than 3/4 - 1 cm, liposuction can improve the aesthetics of the area Always consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Check the before and after pictures of liposuction procedures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive. Pay special attention to the evenness of the areas, the symmetry and the attractive natural look. Best of luck, Dr Widder
A pinch test might be better to assess the thickness of the pubis. Best to be seen in person to be properly evaluated.

Hi! thanks for your question. If diet and exercise haven't worked for this specific area, it could be due to genetics or how your body naturally stores fat. At 16, your body is still maturing, so it may change over time. Surgical options like liposuction are available, but it's best to wait...
Every surgeon will have different protocols as to the amount of fat that they will remove during the war on surgery. Some states may also have regulations. As every procedure is individualized you need to discuss issues with your plastic surgeon.
Liposuction for excessive fat in the triceps area of the arms is going to be the best option if you have adequate skin tone. Local anesthesia liposuction of the arms if very safe and rewarding with one easy-recovery procedure vs. multiple sessions of freezing or heating the fat.
It is well known that the blood supply of the skin on the lower abdomen is drastically changed during an abdominoplasty.Liposuction can also alter blood supply. The combination of the two procedures can potentially increase complications, such as skin creases. There's no set right or wrong answer...
