so I am 20 years old and I have been thinking about gettin implants I decided on saline and 800 cc I was just wondering can my body handle that big of an implant I'm only 5'0 tall and I am 120 lbs.
Answer: 800cc saline implant - can my body take it? The best way to answer your question is to suggest a consultation with a Board Certified plastic surgeon, where you can discuss your aesthetic goals. At this time, you can actually try on 800cc implants to see how your body will look with that large of volume on your chest. You must understand that saline implants weigh more than silicone implants. The 800cc implants will weigh in excess of 5-6 pounds; this can create long-term consequences for your neck, back, and shoulders. Furthermore, having an implant this size, on a body frame as small as yours, will probably result in a variety of physical complications over your lifetime. You may require multiple surgical interventions, as well as incur a significant financial burden. Do your homework to locate a reputable, experienced, Board Certified surgeon, and then schedule a consultation appointment.

Answer: 800 cc saline implant - can my body take it? The best cosmetic result in any particular breast augmentation patient depends on a variety of factors, including: your individual anatomy, desired outcome, realistic expectations, a thorough discussion with the plastic surgeon about the options, and an understanding of the pros and cons of any particular implant choice. Proper sizing is not just about the number of cc’s. The thickness of your tissue, breast dimensions which include the width, height, and projection, as well as chest wall width all need to be considered when choosing an implant. Trying on implant “sizers” of various shapes and volumes while wearing a tight t-shirt, bra, or bathing suit at a preoperative visit will help you and your surgeon choose the optimal implant.Based on your height and weight, 800 cc implants would be excessively large.Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Robert Singer, MD FACSLa Jolla, California

Answer: The Wisdom of Breast 800 CC Implants Based on your height and weight, it seems that 800 cc implants would be far out of proportion for your body. The bigger the discrepancy of implant size to breast size and tissue, the higher the risk of looking un-natural, disproportionate and of long term complications. Undue stretch on the tissues contributes to a higher risk of wrinkling, palpability, capsular contracture, malposition and reoperation. Overly large implants can also lead to back and neck pain in some patients who are very petite. Many of these issues may not show up immediately but are sure to be long term issues. Discuss this matter further with your surgeon. Hope this helps.

Answer: 800 cc saline implant - can my body take it? Thank you for the question. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant type/size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C or D cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals, with safety and avoidance of complications being first priority. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery ( after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers). I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to larger breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Try on sizers If you really want 800 cc then that is what you should consider. There are no rules regarding what will fit your body. Find a surgeon who has experience with all ranges of requests and all sizes of implants. The surgeon's own sense of aesthetic is not of any importance. It is your body. If you like the way the 800 cc implant looks then that is what you should be shooting for. On the other hand, if over and over you meet with plastic surgeons that express the same technical concerns about implant coverage then maybe you need to readjust your goals.
