Shaved head after 3 years post hair transplant. Will it grow back to the way it was?

Hi there, I’m wanting understand whether my hair will grow back thick as it did 1.5 years post surgery. I recently shaved my head so it’s been 3 years since my hair Transplant. My hair is growing, it’s been a month and a half since i shaved it and it’s grown like half an inch. Will it grow back to the way it was? Will it thicken up as it did post surgery?

Your donor hair around the back and sides of your head. Your hair and skin would have fully healed along time ago now since your FUE. Obviously the hair removed is gone and can´t regrow as the hair follicles are no longer there. But your remaining hair will continue to grow, shed and regrow as it goes through your normal hair growth cycles.

It will surely grow back. Transplanted hair is removed from the permanent zone. So, it will grow back even you cut it.

Shaving your head 3 months post-op should not cause any inconvenience regarding the hair growth.

There should be no issue here. The follicles are what was transplanted and your follicles are unaffected by shaving your head this far out from surgery. Congratulations on a successful result!
