Hi please see attached pictures, I have consulted with a few surgeons and I never felt satisfied with morphed pictures, on further research I realized that what I want is an appropriate naso frontal angle which could be achieved by lowering the radix. I am seeking opinions and surgeons in NY/ NJ who specialize in lowering the radix. Question- is it possible to lower radix with a closed approach?

Answer: Lowering the radix of the nose Yes, it is possible to lower the radix of the nose with closed approach. However, if your surgeon insists on doing it with an open approach because of better visibility and control, yous should accept it. Good luck.

Answer: Rhinoplasty and radix Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, it is possible to lower your radix, which will be very beneficial for you. You also need nasal tip deprojection to shorten your tip, which is better done through an open approach in my opinion. Without nasal tip deprojection, if a surgeon reduces your dorsal hump it will look like an overdone ski slope. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G.
