I am wondering about a combination lip lift/rhinoplasty. I want a little bit of a lip lift but practically a whole new nose. I want my bridge to be shaved down, my tip to be reshaped, my nose thinned. I would like to go from point a(left) to point b(right). What are concerns/limitations with a combination surgery? About what price point am i looking at? I know i can't get an exact cost, but what is a reasonabl estimate for these surgeries together? What does recovery look like? Thank you!

Answer: I believe rhinoplasty and lip lift may be combined at the same surgery. Rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for achieving a less distracting and more feminine nasal appearance. If you also desire lip lift surgery, I believe it could be performed at the same operation. Insofar as pricing, it's best to discuss this with a rhinoplasty specialist near to you. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty and lip lift Hello and thank you for your question. I do not recommend having a lip lift at the same time as rhinoplasty as that can damage the blood supply to the base of the columella, and it can also produce increased scarring from the lip lift to to increased tension from all of the swelling of both surgeries at the same time. It is very safe to do the surgeries separately. Cost of rhinoplasty varies based on surgeon expertise and geographic location. The total cost of primary rhinoplasty in my practice is $22.5k (all fees included). If you have breathing problems with documented nostril collapse and a deviated septum, then insurance can sometimes cover a portion of the cost . I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G.
