Question

I am a 37 y/o women who had a rhinoplasty in July of 2023. In the beginning, about a month after I had an infection and was treated with antibiotics. After everything was good and I was in love with the shape of my new nose. However, within last few months I realized that the tip dropped and it changed its shape. Plus, it has been two days I feel pulsing near the sides of my nose. You can actually see how the muscles contracts. Do I have chances that the will still change. Ils there swelling?

As far as I can see from your photos it may take 1 - 1.5 years for the nose to take its full shape depending on the skin structure, but you have a droopy nose tip, so I recommend you a revision surgery, but it would be better to be examined by your surgeon first.

Since you appear to have relatively thick nasal skin, it is conceivable that you were still swollen in the area right above your nasal tip. Has your surgeon considered a steroid injection to this area? I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Outdated methods of rhinoplasty did not support the tip with a stable graft securing it to the septum, leading to a descent of the tip complex. This is not swelling, and it is not an insufficient septal reduction. You'll need a revision surgery to reposition the tip back to it's rightful position.

We say that it takes a year for almost all the swelling to leave a nose after a rhinoplasty, but by now you should see the great majority of your final results. The photos are too cropped to allow me to make a good assessment, but it looks as though your bridge is rather high, all along its course. I would like to see the bridge lowered where it begins, between your eyes to give a nice dip there (search photos for "Roman statue profile"), and the area close to the tip of your nose on profile view looks high, as though it could be carved down there to give more definition to the tip.
