Can I color my hair a month after breast lift?

Question

I color my hair and I'm wondering if this is safe to do abut a month post breast lift? Are my incisions closed now? Will the hair color irritate or cause an infection? Thanks in advance.

Hair coloring and your breast lift are two separate things and will not have anything in common. One month after surgery your incisions should be completely closed and on their way to healing. Hopefully your hair color is going on your head and not on the incisions. If so, it should be completely fine for you to color your hair. #BreastLift #haircolor #PlasticSurgery

You would need to check with your plastic surgeon to ensure your incisions are fully healed.  For my patients I would not have any reservations about them having a hair treatment one month after surgery if they were healing normally.

Dear Timeforachange35, It is most likely fine if you color your hair at this time. I would double check with your operating surgeon just to make sure that does not go against his recommendations.

Thank you for your question.I usually advise my patients that it is okay to get their hair colored after the first couple weeks after surgery if the patient's healing process is normal.
