I have my patients eat their normal balanced diet prior to their surgery to maximize the healing process. Liquids only aren't necessary. I would also suggest that you check with your surgeon because I also recommend discontinuing many supplements prior to a tummy tuck. Good Luck!
In general, liquid diet is not recommended prior to a tummy tuck. This is not an intra-abdominal procedure.Best Wishes,Nana Mizuguchi
Thank you for your question. I do not recommend a liquid diet prior to surgery, I recommend high protein diet if anything. Check with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon what their protocol is for dieting prior to surgery.
I prefer patients to eat a balanced diet of food prior to surgery. Liquid diets are not necessary. Best of luck.
A liquid diet is not necessary before a tummy tuck because it is not an intra-abdominal surgery and there is no operating near the intestines. While you may become a bit constipated from taking narcotics after surgery, a pre-operative liquid diet would not help with this. Best of luck with your procedure!
Thanks for your question. Each plastic surgeon can have different surgical and peri-operative protocol.Although I do not recommend heavy diet right before the surgery, I do not recommend liquid diet. Please continue with healthy, nutritional diet and ask your plastic surgeon for his/her recommendation.Best regards.
It is always best to discuss your options with your operating Surgeon. We often offer overnight stay for patients who live further away from a surgical facility. Usually, tummy tucks are outpatient- so as long as you follow all of your Surgeon's post op instructions- you should be ok.

Thanks for your question. It sounds like you are happy overall but are wondering if further improvement in scar symmetry can be achieved. If you wait 6-12 months before considering a touch-up, you will have a better sense of the final result. If you are still dissatisfied it...
I have found that when a tummy tuck is performed with muscle imbrication (correction of separation), Exparel seems to make my patients more comfortable during the early post-operative period. Good Luck!
Thank you for your question. Typically during a tummy tuck your belly button is left attached to your stomach muscles and the skin around your tummy tuck is tightened. You may be having an optical illusion as a result of the new appearance of your stomach, but your overall torso...
Hello and thanks for your questions. Pulling up of the saggy pubic region is fairly normal with tummy tuck, but for some it can feel or look extreme. Discuss this with your plastic surgeon, but pulling on the external skin is unlikely to lead to tightness inside your vagina. I would suggest you...
