Best way to get transported home from hospital after having a Tummy tuck and butt lift?

It is always best to discuss your options with your operating Surgeon. We often offer overnight stay for patients who live further away from a surgical facility. Usually, tummy tucks are outpatient- so as long as you follow all of your Surgeon's post op instructions- you should be ok.

For patients that have a ride of more than 20 minutes or so after
surgery, we recommend to stay the night at a close-by location, with a nurse,
or in a medical facility, so they do not have to go through the traffic and the
bumps and so on.If that is not an
option, then something that can put the patient in as comfortable of a position
as possible that does not put tension on either incision.

Any vehicle will suffice for transportation. I do not recommend an SUV that you have to step up into that is high off the ground. You should also touch base with your plastic surgeon. Good luckregards,Dr. Ravi Somayazula
