Im having trouble finding doctors that do ultrasonic rhinoplasty. Why is this not being practiced in the USA?? The tool causes less trauma to the surrounding tissues and recovery is faster because of it. Plus I’ve noticed the shaping is more precise and the results are cuter more delicate noses. I don’t want to travel to turkey it’s just the inconvenience of traveling for me.
Answer: Ultrasonic rhinoplasty in the USA Thank you for your question. Ultrasonic rhinoplasty is practiced in the United States and I would suggest to you to check the website of The Rhinoplast Society or direct your question there to help you identify surgeons hopefully close to offer this option. From my practice, I do agree that the results are more precise I have used this approach in approximately 1500 procedures, with a lot of consistency for the outcomes.

Answer: Ultrasonic rhinoplasty: Ultrasonic rhinoplasty: The term ultrasonic rhinoplasty is somewhat misleading. It is not really a technique, it is merely the use of instruments during rhinoplasty that utilize ultrasound to assist the movement of the instrument. There is nothing about using ultrasonic instruments that is more or less traumatic than any other technique. frankly if you are looking for the least invasive and least traumatic way to do a rhinoplasty, closed rhinoplasty is the least invasive. As to the results, this does not depend on the type of instruments that are being used but on the techniques and skills of the surgeon and the goals of the surgeon. A good rhinoplasty surgeon can produce excellent results regardless of the instrumentation used. If what you like is small button noses, that just means reducing the nose more than for those who are seeking a more “natural“ look. It doesn’t matter what kind of instrumentation is used.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty surgery. I have tried ultrasonic or Piezoelectric osteotomies-breaking the bone. Technically, it requires more undermining of the bony skeleton, and I really did not feel that it gave me much of an advantage when breaking the bones. I perform an external osteotomy with discontinuous break in the bone. In this technique, the structure of the bone is much more intact and therefore stronger after surgery. The benefit to this is people can wear glasses within a couple of weeks. I find that there is very little bruising associated with the technique that I performed. I hope this helps you.

Answer: Rhinoplasty There are a few surgeons that use ultrasonic for rhinoplasty. Remember though, that ultrasound is simply a tool. It doesn’t guarantee any better results than standard rhinoplasty. And it’s often used as a marketing tool

Answer: Why isn't ultrasonic rhinoplasty practiced in United States Ultrasonic rhinoplasty does not offer any advantages whatsoever than traditional osteotomies is placed in nasal bones. It is simply a cutting tool and a method to cut bone like any other tool. In addition, there is significant aerosolization of blood products into the air with ultrasonic rhinoplasty and it's probably not a good idea during a pandemic do use this technique. In addition, ultrasonic rhinoplasty is very slow and adds significant additional Time under anesthesia and in the operating room
