Dear mkinder2367,if your main concern is belly button, then you can get only umbilicoplasty without tummy tuck. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello MKINDER 2367,Thank you for your question about the ideal treatment to enhance the appearance of your belly following your impressive 70-pound weight loss. Congratulations on achieving such a remarkable transformation! Your post-weight loss picture is amazing, showcasing your good genetics and excellent skin quality. It's noteworthy that you do not have any residual stretch marks, which is quite rare and advantageous.Given your excellent skin recoil and the absence of stretch marks, I would recommend considering liposuction. This recommendation is somewhat unique, as most patients who have experienced massive weight loss typically have poor skin elasticity, which does not respond well to liposuction alone. In most cases, a tummy tuck is the preferred option for significant weight loss patients, particularly for someone who has lost as much as 70 pounds. However, your photo does not indicate poor skin quality, suggesting that your abdomen may respond favorably to VASER liposuction. It's important for you to consult with several plastic surgeons who have experience in performing both liposuction and tummy tucks on massive weight loss patients. Avoid limiting your consultation to surgeons who specialize exclusively in liposuction or tummy tucks. Instead, seek out a plastic surgeon with expertise in both procedures and experience handling weight loss patients. This will ensure a more comprehensive evaluation and a tailored approach to your specific needs.Good luck with your decision-making process. I hope this response has helped clarify which treatment might best enhance the appearance of your belly after a significant weight loss of 70 pounds.Sincerely,J. Hello,This is a great question!Depending on how much loose skin you may have, a tummy tuck/abdominoplasty may be a great option for you. Also depending on the in person exam, you may be a candidate for VelaShape, which is a non-invasive cellulite reduction device that has great results on abdomens like yours! As always, an in-office consultation is required to really examine your abdomen and your own unique anatomy, as well as discuss the procedure and any questions you may have.Best,Dr. Tanovic
Thanks for your question! A tummy tuck is probably the best option. If you are looking for noninvasive or minimally invasive, you could try something like Morpheus for improvement. However if you're looking for perfection, a tummy tuck might be your only option. Good luck!
Thank you for your question and photo. Based on this single photo with the arms elevated and the abdomen at full stretch, it is difficult to assess how much looseness you have. With a 70 lbs weight loss, I venture to say that you do have significant amount of loose skin. An in person consultation/examination can determine if you would do well with VASER Hi Def Lipo and Renuvion skin tightening (no visible incisions) or you might need a pubic bone level short scar full tummy tuck and VASER liposuction. See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.
Your photos only hint at what is likely true: your skin has lost elasticity and will need tightening. You are clearly lean, so liposuction is not the answer. As for 'skin tightening' modalities like Bodytite, Renuvion (J Plasma), or Vaser, they will not likely help. Go visit a few experts in body contouring.
If you have any of the following (or combination of), you are most likely a good candidate for abdominoplasty:-loose skin-excess fat-diastasis rectiNon-surgical options may improve excess or loose skin, but the results may be variable.
Congratulations on your impressive weight loss! Depending on the degree of loose skin that you have there are a few options. If there is moderate to severe laxity a tummy tuck would be the right choice. It will remove excess fat and skin as well as correct abdominal wall laxity. The result is a flatter, tighter tummy. Liposuction with J Plasma can remove excess fatty pockets and improve mild to moderate skin laxity. BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that uses RF technology to tighten skin and melt fat for those with mild laxity. To see which is recommended for you visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.
Congratulations on your weight loss! I would suggest minimally invasive skin tightening with radiofrequency like Renuvion. Liposuction can be added to treat any residual fat. You do not need a tuck.
Thank you for your question. In fact, being at a stable weight, regardless of the exact number on the scale, is an important factor for good results. The success of a tummy tuck is more dependent on factors like the amount of excess skin, the condition of your abdominal muscles, and overall skin...
Dear vic danconia, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only...
It would be helpful just to see a pic of your tum standing front on besed on the pics you have sent, I am inclined to agree with the other opinions you have had in that FDL is most appropriate in terms of trying to gather up and remove as much as possible these extra folds of skin that you have...
