Breast lift in Apr 2022, with a non-surgical scar revision on the vertical scars in Nov 2022 due to suture spitting and wide scars. The same thing happened the second time around, though not as bad. I’ve 3 fractional laser treatments this summer to treat the scars…although they are starting to fade, the wide scar tissue at the bottom t-section caused a drooping effect on my right breast, creating an undesirable shape. Can this be remedied with some other kind of laser or non-surgical treatment?
Answer: Revision surgery Dear v.lynne, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Addressing Breast Shape Correction: Surgical vs. Non-Surgical Methods Thank you for your question regarding the possibility of correcting the shape of your breast using a laser or non-surgical treatment. After reviewing your pictures and history, it is clear that, unfortunately, such non-surgical methods would not be effective in your case. Your photos show excess skin and breast tissue, particularly noticeable at the 6 o’clock position of your left breast. While lasers can offer mild skin tightening, they are incapable of removing breast tissue. Similarly, there are no non-surgical treatments available that can effectively eliminate excess breast skin and tissue. Given these limitations, the only viable option for correcting the shape of your breast is through surgical revision. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia and can utilize your existing horizontal scar in the infra-mammary fold. Suppose you are currently receiving FRAXEL laser treatments for the scar. In that case, it may be advisable to discontinue these if the scar will be reopened during the surgical correction to improve breast symmetry. I hope this provides a clear understanding of your options for breast shape correction and why surgical intervention is necessary in your case. Good luck, and please feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further clarification. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Considering options You will have the best chance at success with surgical intervention. The scars can be revised and the inferior portion of the breast corrected to address the shape that concerns you. While there is no guarantee the scars won't widen again, there are scar treatments that can help them heal favorably.

Answer: Breasts No, some excess skin need to be resected and perhaps lift the sagging breast tissue back up inside. This could be done with the inferior incision. Your nipples will then be in proper position with the breasts lifted.
