Many surgeons, myself included, insist upon general anesthetic before rhinoplasty surgery. During general anesthetic, somebody's mouth is opened widely to facilitate placement of an orotracheal tube. Rhinoplasty is the most complex procedure to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your rhinoplasty surgeon wisely based on producing natural results.

Dental injuries from anesthesia do sometimes happen, but it is not particularly common.
When dental injuries happen, it’s typically not from the plastic breathing tube but rather the metal laryngoscope used to insert the tube.
It’s not always necessary to do endotracheal intubation for rhinoplasty surgery.
