I want an alar base reduction and my bridge narrowed. I think I'll have to get the nose broken to narrow. I'll feel more comfortable under local although general is safer. Is it possible I can get my desired surgery with local anesthesia/ night sedation?

Answer: Local vs general anesthesia I do not think it is possible and certainly not recommended to get this procedure done just under local. If it was just some skin issues then possibly, but general anesthesia is the way to go, not just because of the discomfort and pain that would be hard to control with local only, but there will be blood and fluid running down your nose/throat and with general anesthesia we can block that and control the airway.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Some surgeons do rhinoplasty under local anesthesia with sedation. However it is more important to find the best surgeon and whether local or general anesthesia should be a secondary priority
