8mm implant vs. 10mm sliding genioplasty I have an implant that is 8mm horizontally and I don’t feel like it’s giving me enough projection. I am considering a genioplasty with 10mm horizontal and 5mm vertical advancement. I understand that the genioplasty will add vertical projection, but as far as horizontal projection, would there be a noticeable difference between the two procedures? If it’s negligible for only 2mm extra it may not be worth the surgery.
