Hi, I decided not to get lipo on my arms because I heard it's the most complained about area regarding results. I'd like to start working out my arms but I will be recovering from lipo to abdomen, waist, flanks, back, maybe bra strap area, and thighs. How soon after lipo to those areas can I lift light weights with just my arms?
Answer: Weight You can actually lift weights the days of surgery. You may need to modify how high and fast you lift your weights for comfort.

Answer: Working out Arms After Liposuction It's essential to give your body the time it needs to heal after liposuction. Recovery is a crucial part of the process, and taking it easy for the first few weeks is necessary to avoid complications such as bleeding, swelling, or delayed healing. When it comes to working out your arms after lower-body liposuction, you might be able to return to light upper-body exercises sooner than you think. However, it's crucial to follow the guidance of your plastic surgeon, who will provide personalized recommendations based on your specific situation and overall health. As a general guideline, you may be able to start light arm exercises within one to two weeks after surgery. But always remember to follow your surgeon's advice. Begin with low-intensity workouts and gradually increase the intensity as you feel more comfortable and your body continues to heal. It's essential to listen to your body and avoid pushing yourself too hard, as overexertion can lead to complications during recovery. Your well-being is the top priority, so take your time, and don't forget to consult your surgeon before resuming any exercise. Thank you for your question, and I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Exercise After Liposuction This is something you should discuss with your surgeon who knows you best. For my patients I want them up and walking right away, but to avoid strenous exercise for 4 to 6 weeks. Good luck.

Answer: How soon can I work out after liposuction? I usually let my patients workout after liposuction as soon as they feel well enough to do so. I think a rapid return to exercise is very helpful in mobilizing fluid, prevent blood clots, and increasing the blood flow through areas that have undergone liposuction which contributes to a more rapid recovery. Everyone is different so I would of course check with your physician as to their recovery protocol but for me you can workout as aggressively as you like as soon as you like as long as you continue to wear your faja.
