I am interested in getting upper and lower eyelid fillers for hollowness as I'm not ready for surgical correction. I am a triathlete and train year round. Can I wear swimming goggles after filler injections around the eyes? Those goggles are usually tight fitting for best swimming performance. Is there a waiting period for the filler to settle in and not get disturbed by pressure?
Answer: Goggles after Restylane Hi Jazelle. You should be ok using goggles after under eye injections as long as you take a couple of days before wearing them. The product can move around at the very beginning especially in the first 24 hours but would get harder to move in the days after that. One caveat, if you are injected very superficially (above the muscle) it's easier to move the product. Make sure to find an injector that places the product deep under the muscle. This leads to better results and less movement of the product. To see examples of Restylane injections under the eyes, take a look at the before and after pictures at the link below.

Answer: Tear Trough Hi @jazelle! I recommend waiting 24-28 hours prior to wearing swimming goggles. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Goggles and Fillers Around the Eyes I would avoid wearing anything that causes extreme pressure around the eyes after fillers. I have seen this cause the fillers to migrate. Glasses and normal daily wear is fine, but for 5-7 days I would say stay away from things like a snorkle goggle ect. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Wearing Goggles After Filler Injection Great question for the summertime Jazelle! I would avoid any strenuous activity for 24 hours after your filler injection as it may increase the possibility of swelling and bruising. After 24 hours, you can get back to training and wearing your goggles. Make sure you find an injector that can use microcannulas to decrease your risk of swelling and bruising under the eyes. Best of luck.

Answer: Physical training and fillers After any cosmetic procedure you should not immediately begin training again. Wait at least 5 days and let things settle and be sure you have no side effects before restarting
