Can an unnatural looking belly button be fixed after Abdominoplasty? (photo)

Thank you for your picture and questions. Based on what I can visualize in the photo, it appears that you have a great result! I would call your surgeon and thank him or her for doing a great job. If you have specific concerns about your outcome, I would discuss those with him or her, but understand that with what appears to be such a good result, there is little to offer in terms of significant improvement.Best of luck!

Your belly button in the photo actually looks pretty good. Unfortunately, I cannot tell what can be done without seeing what looks unnatural. Perhaps a close-up photo will do it. Most likely, some adjustments can be madde surgically.See a board certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

but want it more natural and better,  its better to leave good as it is.  Attempts to make this more 'natural' have considerable risks of making it worse.  For a post-surgical belly button, yours is very good as the scarring is not thick, the belly button is open, and its not totally abnormal.  I offer removal of the belly button during a tummy tuck when people may not like their original belly button (just not pretty enough or too deep, etc) and a dimple is reconstructed later that my patients find satisfactory.  But you can always ask your surgeon about umbilicoplasty.

Your belly button looks good following your surgery over two years ago.  It is not clear how it could be improved much.

 There are often things which might be done to improve the appearance of the belly button. I would have to examine you in person, and fully understand your concerns regarding its appearance before making a recommendation. I recommend consultation with a qualified Plastic Surgery. It depends specifically what you would like to change. Many issues related to belly button appearance or scar quality can be revised or changed, often with just local anesthesia. Location or size of belly button is more difficult to change after surgery is done.
