 As long as you're in good health, it is acceptable to undergo elective cosmetic surgery even at 81 years of age.

Age in itself is not a contraindication to facial treatments. See a surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery to discuss all your aesthetic concerns, even those which are non-invasive.

As they say, "age is nothing but a number" and living your life to the fullest, regardless of age is a wonderful way to enjoy the best life has to offer. There are many fine options for facial rejuvenation, volume enhancement, skin re-vitalization and surgery at all stages of life. The best choices depend on your general health, facial and skin evaluation, examination and a complete understanding of your wishes, goals and desires. Sculptra Aesthetic injections, Voluma injections, fat transfer or implant surgery could all be considered for hollow cheeks. Some laser therapies also build up natural collagen for improved facial contouring. I suggest consulting with a reputable and experienced Facial Plastic Surgeon. An in-person assessment is the best way to discuss your choices including, minimally invasive options, fillers, skin laser therapy and/or surgery.   Hi, if you are healthy, there are no limits within reason.  I have performed facelifts on healthy men and women in their 80's.  Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation.  Following the beauty principles
outlined in my book on face and body beauty, women look the most feminine,
youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces.  Heart shaped faces have cheeks
that are full and round in the front.  Cheek augmentation using a dermal filler
(I prefer Restylane Lyft) or with cheek implants for a permanent enhancement
will create full, round cheeks anteriorly that will feminize the entire face.   If you have Jowls, these are sagging facial
tissues and an indication for some form of a SMAS facelift. The
underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and
re-sutured.  The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed.

My most popular facelift is the
minimally invasive, short incision facelift that has all the benefits of more
invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane and subperiosteal
facelifts) but with these added benefits:

I
tell potential facelift patients to think of creating a more beautiful or
handsome face by working on three tissue levels.  The bony structure
should be appropriate to make a woman’s face heart shaped and a man’s face
chiseled and angular which is described below.  Next the fatty layer
should be reduced or shaped allowing the shape to be seen and finally excess
SMAS and skin evidenced by the presence of jowls) should be removed from the
