Is it ok to have sushi 4 days after a TT?

I feel silly asking this question, but is it ok to have sushi during the healing process? I've been eating chicken, steak and veggies everyday, and I'm ready for some fish!

Thank you for your question.  It is always best to consult with your operating physician first when you have questions related to your particular recovery experience.  That being said, we advise our patients to refrain from consuming any blood thinning agents, such as sushi, seafood, certain hers and medications, etc. for a minimum of 10-14 days post operatively.With kind regards,Lane F. Thanks for your question.  After a tummy tuck and other surgery, eating healthy, low-fat, high protein diet will help with healing.  Thus eating sushi would be fine.

There is no reason to avoid sushi after a tummy tuck to my knowledge. The important diet points are to maintain a normal level of protein and vitamins before and after surgery to give yourself the best chance of healing well. Supplements are not necessary, just a balanced diet....which can include sushi.

Best to eat whatever you feel like eating! Most patients tend to stay away from heavy, large meals and prefer to eat smaller, more frequent meals after undergoing a muscle repair with the TT. Best of luck for great results!

It is absolutely to fine to eat sushi four days after a tummy tuck.  There are no food restrictions following an abdominoplasty.  However, it is important to stay well-hydrated.  I hope this helps!

Any normal and reasonable diet is fine after 3-4 days after tummy tuck.  However, constipation is to be avoided after this operation .

Some Asian cultures recommend avoiding seafood such as shrimp and shellfish after surgery.However, most Western plastic surgeons would be fine with sushi or fish.Best wishes.
