(Caucasion) Blepharoplasty removes excess skin, but is there a surgery that also changes the location of the crease (to make it higher up). Using tweezers to push back my skin a lot makes the crease go high and I really like this effect. But pinching the excess skin with tweezers (blepharoplasty)vdoes not do enough for me. Any help on what procedure/s are involved?
Answer: You really need to connect to cosmetic surgeons in your area who can help you. You have concepts that have the potential to be profoundly misunderstood by potential eyelid surgeons. Over aggressive upper eyelid surgery is a devastating thing. I suspect that you fall into the body dysmorphic spectrum. Research has shown that surgeons often misunderstand what is being asked of them by patients with BDD. I believe it is possible for you to safely have surgery provide there is crystal clear communication between you and your potential surgeon. That is easier said than done. Can the crease be raised? Absolutely. The real question is what look are you trying to accomplish recognizing that prior to this, you were asking about shaving down your brow bone and you have a beautiful, full sub brow area. Your potential surgeon really needs to precisely get what you are looking for and communicate that back to you. Without that, you run an extreme risk of ending up with an untoward surgical result.

Answer: Can I have surgery to create a higher eyelid crease? There are procedures to raise the level of the eyelid crease in the appropriate patient. The exact procedure depends on individual anatomy and desired result. Whether you are a candidate can only be determined at a consultation.Following the advice of anyone who would presume to tell you what to do without seeing photos and without taking a full medical history, examining you, feeling and assessing your tissue tone, discussing your desired outcome and fully informing you about the pros and cons of each option would not be in your best interest. Find a plastic surgeon that you are comfortable with and one that you trust and listen to his or her advice. The surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Crease postion without photographs, it is difficult to assess your situation. The crease position can be changed. Be sure to have your eyelids evaluated by a board certified surgeon who specializes in eyelid surgery.
