My trauma scar was revised 8 months ago. After surgery, the scar started out thin but then widened and sunk in as it healed. It is now wide, atrophic and lumpy. I don't understand why it didn't heal into a fine line. I do not have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, but I pass the tests for high laxity skin. My skin is thin and delicate. Could this be why I healed poorly? My scar looks like an EDS scar- like thin, weak, crinkly cigarette paper. I assume another surgery would produce the same poor result?
