When is it safe to go into the sauna/steam room after silicone breast implants?

Steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzi's, hot baths will not affect your implants wheather they are saline or silicone gel. Your core body temperature (where the implants are) will remain within a few degrees of normal regardless of the outside temperature. Silicone by the way can withstands large degrees of heat without degradation or breakdown. #breastaugmentation#breastimplants

Thanks for your question.  Best to clarify with your surgeon.  In my practice, I have no restrictions for my patients after 2 months.  Once the incision is healed completely, it should be safe to submerge under water.  

I cannot offer specific medical advice to you as you are not in my care. I can tell you in my practice any activity such as bath tub, sauna, hot tub, pool/beach I want them to be at least 4 weeks post surgery and the incision healed.Patients can shower after 48 hours.  

Hello there, I would call your surgeon and clarify. Perhaps you heard wrong? If anything, I usually ask my patients to hold on water immersion (like a hot tub) for the longest. I don't have any problems with a sauna or steam room, especially 8 weeks out from an uncomplicated breast augmentation. The only thing I will warn you about is that silicone does not heat up as fast as saline or your body. You may feel that your chest is cool when your body is pretty warm already.
