So about two months ago I got 1 syringe of voluma in my cheeks and just 12 days ago I got 1 syringe of radiesse in my upper cheek area, temples and around the side of my eyes, near where the wrinkle lines would be. I wish I was told how wide my face would look and knew that radiesse is permanent. I was just really loving my fillers until this last appointment and now I hate how I look! Is there anything I can do to get rid of the filler? How soon can I start expecting to see it fade?
Answer: Radiese two weeks ago and I hate it. Please help? Hi, fortunately Radiese is not permanent, unfortunately it will last about a year sometimes a bit longer and it can't be reversed. It's calcium hydroxyapatite based filler. Unless it's surgically removed which isn't the best solution and not advised you will have to wait till it resolves on its own.

Answer: Recommend to start diffusing the radiesse Radiesse is a stimulatory filler that is an excellent option for patients who desire a longer-lasting filler alternative to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. In our office, we use Radiesse to complement structural areas of the face and contour bony prominences. Our office also is a center of excellence for filler complication treatments and we see patients who have been treated by other doctors and have undesirable results from Radiesse or other long-lasting fillers. We have treatment options available for Radiesse filler nodules, granulomas, and soft tissue thickening. The first step would be to diagnose the nodularity and determine whether there is an option for surgical vs. non-surgical removal. Surgical excision is a possibility in some patients; whereas others with more diffuse fillers may benefit from intralesional therapy using scar modulators and enzymes and kenalog. Radiesse complications may be long-lasting and prompt action is key. Patients who have no access to an expert in the field should begin gentle massage of the areas of nodularity with Plato’s Scar Serum twice daily. RF and invasive lasers can actually do more damage by stimulating further collagen growth. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Is Radiesse Permanent? Hi Savanna. So sorry to hear about your situation. While we definitely understand how concerning this can be for you, we would not recommend trying to remove the Radiesse. It cannot be reversed like Hyaluronic based products and usually takes about 1 year to metabolize. The cases we have seen where patients try to get it reversed end up looking worse than when they had it injected. It's hard to wait, but that would be our recommendation. Answer: Too wide? Radiesse is not permanent, but could last up to two years. The Voluma is HA based and you could consider dissolving some HA. This may or may not work to reduce the width of your cheekbones. It depends on where the product was injected. Go to your injector who knows exactly where the injections too place. Good luck, Dr. Aldo

Answer: Unhappy with Radiesse--venus legacy, 5/FU steroids If you're unhappy with your Radiesse results, it can be improved with venus legacy treatments and 5/FU steroids. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
