Botox when done right gives amazing softening of movement wrinkles. If dont poorly can cuase a change in expression or a fake look or change in the eyebrow or eye shape. Please see an expert. Any results you do not like will be back to normal 2-4 months after injections. Best, Dr. Emer.
Botox is an incredible product with a good safety profile when injected by a properly trained physician/nurse.Its benefits are that it works and takes effect rather quickly, 3-7 days. It can be used to treat creases and wrinkles, in addition to migraines and sweating. The cons are that there can be a list of side effects, most are minor such as swelling, redness and headaches. Some others are the botox affecting muscle and paralyzing the unintended muscles. In such cases the effects are limited and transient.Hope that helps.
There are many "pros" to Botox and very few "cons" which makes this treatment so popular! It is a simple procedure done in the office. It has no downtime. Complications from treatment are very rare. The final results are seen within 2 weeks and the product gradually fades over 3-4 months. Risks are low, but some include bruising, eyelid drooping, and swelling at injection site.
This is a great question, as there are many benefits to getting BOTOX®. First, this is a quick and easy procedure that typically takes less than 20 minutes to perform, and since there is no downtime afterwards, you can return to work and other normal activities right away. Secondly, BOTOX® can create very natural-looking results that help to smooth away the appearance of dynamic lines and wrinkles, especially in the forehead area and between your eyes.As for a con, I would say that many people wish the results were permanent, but they will gradually diminish over the next several months.
Botox is probably the single best cosmetic treatment ever developed! It produces terrific results by relaxing muscles between the eyes, around the eyes and on the forehead, softening the wrinkles and providing a refreshed look. I can't think of any downsides. Every medical treatment has potential side effects and Botox does as well: minimal pain, small chance of bruising, headache and flu-like symptoms (very rare). As with all cosmetic procedures, the skill of the injector is paramount. Always seek an expert in facial aesthetics to maximize results while minimizing side effects.
Botox works by preventing your muscles from contracting. This can keep your face from making those pesky wrinkles when you look surprised or furrow your eyebrows in between your eyes. They can also smooth the crows feet around your eyes when you wrinkle and much much more depending on where you have muscles creating creases, wrinkles, or bands on your face. With any procedure requiring needles, there is a risk of bruising, discomfort, and swelling. If botox is done in the wrong areas or with the wrong amounts, you can get a look that is not what you wanted or temporary loss of muscle activity in an unwanted area. The effects do wear off over 3-4 months, but there is no immediate reversal agent or antidote. More details including benefits, side effects, complications, and alternatives can be discussed with you after an in-office examination to determine if you are a candidate. Hope this helps!Johnson C. The most important 2 factors that are pro is that it works and is safe. It weakens muscles that cause lines and wrinkles and can also be used for headaches and increased sweating. it has been used in millions of patients all over the world. The cons are that it does not last as long as most people want and there are side effects such as non movement of areas not wanting to be treated and the biggest problem is that so many inexperienced people are injecting and this causes problems of all sorts--see my latest book SkinScam
Thank you for your question. Botox is a neuromodulator - it softens the appearance of expression lines by temporarily reducing movement in overactive facial muscles, and works particularly well for frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines in the forehead, and the crow's feet, among other areas. The results typically last 3-4 months, and patients typically return for repeat treatments 3-4 times per year as they notice their expression lines gradually coming back. It's important to note that Botox is mainly for the treatment of lines that are present with facial expressions and animation, and does not significantly improve the appearance of deep wrinkles that are present at rest. The most common side effects of Botox are mild swelling (typically resolves within in hour) and bruising at injection sites. There is also always a very small risk of infection with any injection. Very rarely, Botox can spread to other, unintended muscles, resulting in facial asymmetry or a droopy eyelid or eyebrow - this typically occurs due to improper injection placement or dosage by novice injectors. I would recommend seeing a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon for a consultation. Best of luck!
Thanks for your question. You never want to over do the Botox. Since you have not had the injections before I would opt for the 20-30 units per side and see how it does. More can be added but none can be taken away. As for the interval, Re-inject as the effect is wearing...
It is recommended you wait a few hours after injection before heavy exercise. However it is likely that if you had intercourse soon after injection that your results will not be greatly effected, if at all.
Botox takes several days to begin working and up to 2 weeks before it is completely effective. 2 days is very soon to be seeing unwanted side effects. Follow up with your injector 2 weeks after your injections. If your brow has dropped there is likely nothing that they can do for you however t...
