Botox works by preventing your muscles from contracting. This can keep your face from making those pesky wrinkles when you look surprised or furrow your eyebrows in between your eyes. They can also smooth the crows feet around your eyes when you wrinkle and much much more depending on where you have muscles creating creases, wrinkles, or bands on your face. With any procedure requiring needles, there is a risk of bruising, discomfort, and swelling. If botox is done in the wrong areas or with the wrong amounts, you can get a look that is not what you wanted or temporary loss of muscle activity in an unwanted area. The effects do wear off over 3-4 months, but there is no immediate reversal agent or antidote. More details including benefits, side effects, complications, and alternatives can be discussed with you after an in-office examination to determine if you are a candidate. Hope this helps!Johnson C.
