My PS told me overfilling moderate implants would give me width and upper fullness. I have a wide chest frame, so high profile would leave a gap. Would overfilling moderate implants make them flatter and wider or more like a high profile implant (more projected and narrower in diameter)? Should I just go with moderate plus to maintain width and have upper fullness? Or will overfilling moderate implants do the same? I was hoping to be around 650cc.

Answer: What will overfilling moderate profile implants make them look like? (Flat and wider, or narrower and more projected?) Thank you for your question. I would make sure that you are seeing a board certified plastic surgeon as I completely disagree with his assessment regarding the implants. Think of the saline implant like a water balloon. When you overfill a balloon, what happens to it? It becomes more circular, right? So as you over fill a saline implant that is moderate profile, you will decrease the width of the implant and increase the projection (as the implant becomes more spherical). If you are looking for more upper pole fullness, then you are looking to maximize the width of your implant for your chest width, so creating a more projected implant will not help to achieve this goal. You would be better off choosing a wider implant (as long as the width does not exceed your breast width) with a lower profile. The other issue to discuss is the choice of implant. Overfilled saline implants tend to be very hard and unnatural and have more rippling that silicone implants. If you are looking for an unnatural and hard breast, then your choice might be valid, but if you are looking for a natural result, I would suggest you discuss round cohesive gel implants with your plastic surgeon. You can get the benefits of a firmer silicone implant with more cohesive gel. Hope this helps!

Answer: What will overfilling moderate profile implants make them look like? (Flat and wider, or narrower and more projected?) Thank you for sharing your question. In general as you overfill saline implants they will have a higher projection and more narrow base width diameter. Essentially they would start resembling a high profile implant. Hope this helps.
