Hello amazing drs I had liposuction and a BBL about 4 years ago in Mexico. Right in the beginning I noticed a hard lump on the right side of my abdominal area and a a lot of more bumps around my whole stomach , doctor said it was fibrosis but it's normal & would go away with the massages. I got all 12 post op massages. It’s been 4 years since & looks same. I’m so unhappy with the way I look & the whole outcome in general. I’m willing to do a 360 liposuction within the next month
Answer: Everyone has 'fibrosis', You also have irregularities Fibrosis, or the formation of scar tissue, is how we heal. It's normal. You have liposuction irregularities. You may be a good candidate for revision liposuction. What to look for and is most important to a great outcome is a well trained and skilled surgeon with decades of experience. What you don't need are the latest and greatest machines like Vaser, laser, or radiofrequency assisted liposuction.

Answer: Lipo360 + abdominoplasty/tummy tuck - VASER HD, J Plasma/Renuvion/Inmode BodyTite, fat grafting for buttock lift/BBL this can be improved but it needs a tummy tuck, revision lipo/heating, and fat grafting to repair. this is much more intensive then before we do this frequently though. please get a formal consult. my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty, or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring). the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after). You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring. Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods. The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring. This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face. Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra. If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty). Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting. Answer: Uneven after liposuction Dear asifalebanon15, I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction. This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately. The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result.I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result. Answer: Understanding the problem fibrosis is a term used to describe excessive formation of scar tissue. fibrosis for excessive Scar Tissue really isn't your problem. Your little suction was done in an aggressive Manner and the fact was removed in an uneven fashion. This is simply poor liposuction technique and it's left the results that it did. Liposuction is an irreversible permanent procedure. further liposuction is more likely to make things worse. there really is no treatment for your condition. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of selecting of the best plastic surgeons for this procedure. massage has no proven benefits to reduce fibrosis for improved results after liposuction. best, Mats Hagstrom MD
