I had lip on my legs 10 years ago and apparently he got too close to the outside of the leg and now I have “divots” where the cannula was used too close to the outside of the leg. Not enough space between the leg and the fat wall to keep it smooth looking. How hard is this to correct? I have lost 83lbs and have kept it off for over 2 years. I am heartbroken that All this work and my legs look awful.
Answer: Irregularities after liposuction and weight loss Irregularities after liposuction and weight loss are not necessarily related to "bad lipo." Skin laxity to some degree always occurs after deflation by weight loss or liposuction. If you are unhappy with the appearance of your thighs, there is always something that can be done to improve them. Congratulations on your weight loss. Please discuss your specific complaints and desires with a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and preferably a member of the ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons).

Answer: Difficult to correct previous Liposuction work It is going to be very difficult and maybe not even possibleTo correct the outcome of your previous Liposuction. The upper thigh or is it challenging area to do liposuction on. Weight loss patients typically do not make for a good candidate. The upper back of the thigh sometimes called the banana roll should not be treated with Liposuction. Treatment options typically come down to revision Liposuction, fat transfer or exercising the area by converting it to a skin tightening procedure. None of these are going to be easy or leave great results. Fat transfer will require multiple rounds. It’s typically beyond what patients are willing to go Through. Most likely you would require 4 to 6 rounds A fat transfer. I cannot stress the importance of choosing the most qualified plastic surgeons before committing to having body contouring procedures putting liposuction and fat transfer. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
