I have done co2 laser treatment for my strtchmarks on biceps on 11 September 2014....it has been 4 months now but my skin is still black...it is slowly fading...buy how much time it will take to fade...and can it completely gone...pls help....I am so depressed...I can eat ...can't sleep....I am taking sleeping pills and deppresion tablets.....pls pls pls help...

Our office specializes in fractional CO2 laser for skin resurfacing.  Patients are pleased with the improvement in skin tone, complexion, skin elasticity, and firmness. Our patients are advised to prep the skin with Melarase creams before and after fractional co2 laser. If you have developed pigmentation, I would recommend application of Melarase creams for several weeks to decrease pigmentation. Dr. Karamanoukian

Thanks for the pics.  I would recommend that you return to your treating physician and make sure that you are protecting your skin from the sun and start to use some  pigmentation control creams.  Best of luck.

I suggest topical lightening creams and agressive sun protection.  I would see a laser specialist for treatment.  Fractional co2 on those types of scars is never that great, so my suggestion would be to get a second opinion.  Best, Dr. Emer.

To answer your question - it may take ANOTHER 6 months before fading completely. I would use SPF+++ at least 3 times a day, and use a bleaching cream, say 8-9% HQ for 6 weeks or so. Progressive photographs, like the ones you have taken will show that every month that goes by, PIH or darkening improves. I usually avoid treating stretch marks in sunexposed areas with Fractional CO2, as PIH, just like yours, in your skin type, is common.
