Is it normal to still bleed from one side after drain removal from gynecomastia surgery?

I am 4 days post op from gynecomastia drains were removed today but i still have blood running out from one side, i was told to squeeze down gently and let the blood run out and to repeat daily until it becomes less.. Is this normal and a good tip?
