Surgery Date: November 22, 2013(inframammary crease, Saline implants are 420cc and were each filled to 475cc) Today's Date: January 26, 2014 Bra Size before surgery: 38A Size I wanted: FULL C/Small D (more on the D size) I need help and advice! The pictures above are the before and after. What do you think? I am not happy with how they look. They are wide apart, not full, not round and no volume. I still feel flat chested, even more when I lay down.
Answer: Getting the Results You Want I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed with your results. Your breasts do appear to be wide-set, and not as large as you wanted. Even though it may be an awkward conversation, you need to communicate your dissatisfaction to your surgeon. He or she should be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve the results you want from your breast augmentation, even if it means a revision procedure. Be sure to share photos that clearly show the look you want to achieve. If you don't feel confident that your surgeon can or will create the results you want, you should consult with other surgeons. Be sure to start with board-certified plastic surgeons with great online reviews and photo galleries. Good luck!

Answer: Great result, but expectations not met Thanks for you pictures and question. It is always frustrating when the result is great but everyone is not happy. Judging by the pictures you posted, I think your result is fantastic. I don't personally use saline implants because they don't look and feel as natural and have a potential for contracture and deflation. If you want to be larger, one option would be to place a larger implant. Be careful however with this choice. Larger implants are wider and they weigh more. If you choose an implant that is too large you may not maintain the implant position you currently have and they may try to creep further laterally. In addition you will taking on more weight. Regarding the width apart, this appears to be largely secondary to the width of your sternum. It may not allow the implants to be placed more medially without risking the two pocket connecting (symmastia).

Answer: Post Breast Augmentation Expectations I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with your results. Even though you are very early in your recovery period, the unhappiness that you describe may not go away in the next 2-4 months. It is usually best to wait until you are about 4-6 months postop before considering undergoing additional surgery, breast revisionary surgery.I would be patient but also you should discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. From what it sounds like is that your expectations can be met with a larger implant. Larger implants do have issues on their own, especially with time, however, this is something you and your plastic surgeon can discuss further.Hope this helps. Good luck!

Answer: 2 month post op breast augmentation Thank you for posting before photos with you question. The photos are a little difficult to interpret as they were taken with your arms up which distorts the shape of the breasts. However, you appear to have nice results based on your preop photos. The surgeon needs to place the implant centered behind your nipple, he/she should have pointed out that your nipples were pretty far to the side to begin with and therefore your implants would not be as close as it sounds like you wanted. I definitely see the round volume increase when compared to your preop photos. I also notice a fullness that you did not have before. Were you referring to wanting more fullness at the top of your breasts? Based on these photos your results look good. You should raise your concerns with your plastic surgeon.

Answer: 2 Months Post-op: What should I tell my doctor in order to improve my boobs? First off, congratulations on your surgery. As for your concerns, I'm sorry that you are not satisfied with your results. Regarding your shape, give it some time for them to settle as their appearance will continue to change over the next 3-6 months. If you are still unhappy especially with size as they do appear smaller than what you had asked for, talk with your surgeon about revision options at that time. Your surgeon should've explained to you that you have wide set breasts with your nipples facing somewhat outward, which is just who you are. When you have an augmentation, the implants are placed behind your areolas so they are centered on the breast mound. Basically, you are enhancing what you start off with, so if there is something you are unhappy with to begin with, it will seem magnified to you post surgery. So far, you appear to be healing right on track so continue with your follow up visits and use that time to discuss your concerns directly with your surgeon. Ultimately your surgeon wants you to be happy within realistic expectations so let him know that they are and go from there. Best. ac
