How long should I wait after septoplasty before I can do pressure extraction of whiteheads/blackheads ?

I recently had a septoplasty only (no rhinoplasty) and I have noticed a lot of little whitehead/commodones forming in my pores. Prior to surgery I used a metal extractor with a little metal loop and put pressure to push them out with no issues. I asked my ENT doctor, but he didn't understand what I was saying and I tried to describe it multiple times. Anyways, I was just wondering what might be a good rule of thumb. Surgery overall went well. No issues.

It is ideal to avoid any degree of trauma or force, such as pressure, to the nose for at least 2 weeks after surgery.

Dear alexj44321, The skin can produce more oil after septoplasty and sometimes the tape and splint will  lead to some blackheads especially around the tip of the nose and nostrils. I am very familiar with the metal loop you are discussing as my wife uses the same tool. It does require pressure being used so this should be avoided for at least two weeks after surgery.You can take the tool into your surgeon at your next post operative appointment and show him/her your planned usage and needed pressure for better understanding and then you would be given exact instructions.  In my office I have an aesthetician that helps patients if they have these issues and she will place them on a skin care regimen specifically to reduce blackheads. See if your surgeon has an aesthetician or one that he refers to that is familiar with the post operative patients and the amount of pressure allowed and show you other gentle techniques to help you.
