I know the technically "correct" answer is that it takes off X number of years and that we continue to age afterward, but is this actually true? For Ultherapy, I basically returned back to baseline after one year even though I did look quite a few years younger right afterward. I was wondering if the results from Profound last longer, and how often we should repeat the procedure? Thank you!
Answer: How Long Do The Results of Profound RF Last? I don't own an Ultherapy device, but I am one of the very early adopters of Profound RF. I have been treating patients with Profound RF for two years now and the improvement seen in my patients appears to be maintained over that period of time. Overall, this leads me to believe that the results of Profound RF are long lasting. This does mean that all patients will achieve the same degree of improvement or that the results of treatment will last the same amount of time in all patients. It stands to reason that patient selection is extremelly important in the outcome of this and any medical procedure. In my experience, Profound RF works best in patients with early aging and only a modest loss in skin elasticity. It is not intended for patients with advanced inelasticity and sagging of tissues. I am not recommending any routine maintenance interval but plan to re-treat when my patients feel they might benefit.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Profound result duration Thanks for asking. The radiofrequency microneedling creates micro injuries so that the healing skin creates more collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. The results are not immediate but take 3- 6 months to take effect. It is changing the skin architecture not temporarily but permanently. That said, your skin continues to age after the treatment. This treatment helps to set back the clock and get the skin looking younger and tighter. Everyone will age differently. Some patients age slower than others based on genetics and lifestyle such as sun exposure and smoking. The Profound is a great treament and we often combine it with CO2 laser to achieve younger skin. Best of luck!

Answer: How long do the results from Profound RF last? Hi Noleeta,The best answer to "How long will the results for Profound RF treatment?" is the same answer that I give to patients who ask how long a facelift or Ulthera will last. Patients will look better for the rest of their lives compared to how they would have looked had they not had the procedure. (Joan Rivers once said that she wished that she had an identical twin so that she could see what she would have looked like without all of her plastic surgical treatments!!!) I believe that most experienced practitioners tell their patients that the treatment should last at least 5 years. As with any aesthetic treatment choosing your treating physician is essential for excellent results. Choose your treating physician based on their judgement, skill, experience, knowledge, and most importantly their natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well. Dr. P

Answer: How long do the results from Profound RF last? Profound RF is a highly researched technology, hence its predictability and efficacy. Studies indicate that a five year clinical effect should be anticipated. I've had Profound since its introduction in 2015 and have not had to revise any patients except for purely elective reasons because I.thought they were suboptimally treated(I have gotten much more aggressive with the procedure over time).Profound has 100% response rate; 98% satisfaction and delivers................like nothing else.

Answer: Results The results are permanent in that your body has new collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin. However, keep in mind that there is no fountain of youth. We are constantly aging, so although this procedure may set you back 5 years, it does not change the fact that you have spent xx of years being exposed to sun/ other aging factors, and will continue to see the effects of getting older. This is why regular maintenance is necessary, and many will consider getting this procedure or others likely it on a yearly or every 2 year basis.
