I'm getting a bbl done with lipo on my arms and chin and of course body, the thing is that I've been told recovery is 2 weeks but I work a pretty hands on job with patients in a mental hospital would I be recovered by then ? I do a lot of walking and helping patients
Answer: BBL recovery Two weeks to recover from a Brazilian buttock lift procedure should be sufficient. As long as you are not sitting for prolonged periods of time, you should be fine at your job (which requires lots of walking). Direct sitting should be avoided or modified for two to four weeks post surgery. Ask your plastic surgeon for more specific recommendations.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift Brazilian Butt Lift recovery time is dependent on how the patient’s body reacts to the procedure. Patients usually return to work after a week but you should not sit without the use of cushions for at least two weeks and you must wear a compression garment for several weeks after the procedure. You should wait until at least 2 weeks after the procedure to engage in sexual activity. Swelling and discomfort normally fades at six weeks. After about a month you will be mostly healed and you can get a nice idea of the permanent results after around six months.

Answer: BBL Recovery Post operative pain will vary from procedure to procedure and patient to patient. Liposuction is generally well tolerated with most patients comparing the discomfort to post work out soreness. The fat transfer component does not add a great deal of pain to the procedure. Most patients will return to most activities of daily life inside of a week (save for those restrictions associated with off loading and pressure recommendations). As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Answer: Recovery from BBL & Lipo Thank you for question. Every surgeon has a different recovery protocol so it is best to talk with your plastic surgeon about what he/she recommends for you. After 2 weeks you should be fine to work but you will most likely be sore, so listen to your body and don't push yourself. In general, I advise my patients not to sit on their rear ends at all for the first week. After then they may sit for short periods of time with a pillow under your legs above the knee for 8 weeks and some patients use a special BBL pillow to alleviate pressure on the buttocks. I would not recommend sitting normally without a pillow for 8 weeks. Good luck! Kamran Azad, MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: How long is the recovery time when you get a BBL? Thank you for your question. Healing after a brazilian butt lift is usually pretty straight forward. There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The later phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. Most patients can return to their normal activities after a week of surgery although this varies from patient to patient. Best is to follow your surgeon's recovery instructions.
