Lipo on inner thighs, good or bad idea?

Hello, I'm considering lipo on inner thighs, I've heard that that area doesn't do well with lipo and will also leave skin sagging. I'm 5'4" 123 lbs and I'm pretty active person. I have thick thighs and small hips, so my thighs rub together all the time and irritate my skin. I work out alot and my legs will look nice and defined but that area has always been a challenge for me. My doctor said he can do it but he doest think I should because I risk the skin sagging there.

Inner thighs does great and is easy to undergo but has to be done with smaller cannulas and for best results under local so patients can stand up during the procedure occasionally to fine tune the results.

Hello,In the right individual, liposuction of the inner thighs can yield an excellent result.  You will need to be examined by an honest and capable surgeon to tell you whether it is a good surgery for you, or whether you'll need additional surgery (inner thigh lift) to achieve your goals. Liposuction of the inner thighs can be performed but must be done carefully and conservatively to avoid saggy skin. The upper third of the inner thigh near the groin is more forgiving compared to the middle thigh.  It is best to have a proper examination in the office to evaluate the amount of fat you have the overlying skin quality. You may be a good candidate for conservative liposuction or you may be a candidate for some non-invasive procedures such as coolsculpting.

Lipo in areas of the inner thigh and the upper inner arm give the poorest results because of the loose skin and poor compressability. For example, one would expect a 50-60% improvement with liposuction on the lower abdomen and hips and later thighs, but only 20-30$ improvement on the upper inner thigh and upper inner arm.

For most patients lipo of the inner thighs (often done with saddlebag lipo of the outer thighs) is very helpful and refines the slimmness of the thigh after liposuction.  In the hands of an experienced surgeon the risks are very small for appropriate candidates.  Just be certain that your surgeon is experienced and board certified. Liposuction on the inner thighs is a little risky it the surgeon is too aggressive but works well on the right patient when done by a skilled and conservative surgeon.

Lipo of your inner thighs is generally a well tolerated procedure, and can deletethe rubbing of the skin. Knowing your age, and a picture woiuld help make a decision.  Texture ant tightness (turgor) of the skin is very impolrtant,and the results are much better in younger women (under 40) than older women. If your skin is loose or ripply, don't do it.  A Plastic surgeon's examination can best answer you question.  Go for the consult.
