What is the proper treatment for laser burns after liposuction? (Photo)

I received a liposuction treatment earlier this month. All post-surgery symptoms seemed to be normal until what I thought were bruises started to blister and turned out to be burns from the laser. The surgeon prescribed silvadene but I've read that silvadene will do nothing to prevent scars. I didn't have stretch marks nor any scars prior to this procedure and would like to minimize scarring. Should I make an appointment with a burn specialist? How can I treat the burns to prevent dramatic scarring?

Implants, fillers and kybella can be used to contour the face.  Buccal fat pads can be removed to further contour.  However, I suggest a formal consultation.  Best, Dr. Emer.

A lot of this is proper patient selection and getting the right treatment done by an expert.  If someone has loose skin to begin with they are not a good candidate for liposuction alone or need a hi definition procedure with skin removal.  I suggest seeing a body sculpting expert for options.  ...

Very rarely will insurance cover cosmetic treamtents unless there is a morbidity associated (ie infections, life is affected etc).  Please speak to your physician.  Best, Dr. Emer.
