My lashes were so long, I used latisse for 2 years but it made my dark circles so red that I stopped using to see if it would get brighter and it got brighter but my lashes fall and are back to what they were, if I start using it again will it get long again?
Answer: Latisse only works as long as you're using it Latisse will always work but after such a long break it will take 2-3 months to regrow them again. If Latisse was making your eyes red I recommend using it in the morning instead if the evening and use a fine eyeline brush. We give all of our Orange County Latisse patients a customized eyeliner brush when they purchase Latisse, and we have them out a drop in the cap and then dip the rush into the cap. 1 bottle will last 3-5 months if you use it this way plus you minimize the change of irritation because you are not getting too much of the product on the surrounding skin.Another alternative is Alphaeon Lash Serum, which also works very well. I have my patients use both since Latisse is best at making them grow long, but Alphaeon Lash Serum makes them thicker and darker.

Answer: Latisse and Eyelash Growth Latisse takes 12-16 weeks to grow lashes and once you stop they will return to previous. However, you can maintain the growth by doing it 2-3x / week after they have gotten to the size/thickness you want. I typically inject and apply topically PRP for a few treatments at the beginning to improve the growth rate of the lashes and brows. Best, Dr. Emer.
