I stopped using Latisse 4 months ago & my lashes are back to what they were before. If I start using again will it grow again?

My lashes were so long, I used latisse for 2 years but it made my dark circles so red that I stopped using to see if it would get brighter and it got brighter but my lashes fall and are back to what they were, if I start using it again will it get long again?

Latisse will always work but after such a long break it will take 2-3 months to regrow them again.  If Latisse was making your eyes red I recommend using it in the morning instead if the evening and use a fine eyeline brush.  We give all of our Orange County Latisse patients a customized eyeliner brush when they purchase Latisse, and we have them out a drop in the cap and then dip the rush into the cap.  1 bottle will last 3-5 months if you use it this way plus you minimize the change of irritation because you are not getting too much of the product on the surrounding skin.Another alternative is Alphaeon Lash Serum, which also works very well.  I have my patients use both since Latisse is best at making them grow long, but Alphaeon Lash Serum makes them thicker and darker.

question in regards to Latisse.Yes, you have to continue using Latisse for lash growth. It is a maintenance application. When you stop using it, your lashes will go back to original length prior to Latisse. To be sure what is best for you, see two
or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to
make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have

Yes, if you start with the latisse, your lashes will grow again. It may take a couple of months. In order to control the redness, make sure that you aren't using too much. You might want to try applying it with a fine eyeliner brush as this can give you more control. This could also help prevent the darkening as well. Hope this helps -- Dr. Nazarian

Thank you for your question!  Yes, your eyelashes will grow again once you resume using Latisse. To keep your eyelashes long, you must continue to use the product; however, over time, you can begin to use it every few day and maintain your result.  Good luck!

Latisse takes 12-16 weeks to grow lashes and once you stop they will return to previous.  However, you can maintain the growth by doing it 2-3x / week after they have gotten to the size/thickness you want.  I typically inject and apply topically PRP for a few treatments at the beginning to improve the growth rate of the lashes and brows.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi Adrian.  The answer is yes, if you start using Latisse again, your lashes will grow back to where they were previously.  It sounds like you may be using more product than you need.  If you are experiencing some redness or irritation, you may be using too much or putting on the eye incorrectly. If you start using Latisse again your lashes will grow back. However, before you start using Latisse again you should consult with the Physician who is providing you with the Latissse to rule out an allergy or adverse reaction to the product.

Eyelash growth is expected to return to its pre-treatment level when you stop using Latisse. If you start using the product again you should expect the same results as when you originally used it.

Thank you for your question. As you know, Latisse can cause discoloration of iris and surrounding skin that may come in contact with the solution. If you start using Latisse again, your eyelashes will grown again. I suggest once you get to a satisfactory lash length, only use the solution every other day or every 2 days. Best of luck.
