The hair on my sideburns and goatee area sticks straight out and doesn’t flow with the beard. Did my doctor insert them correctly? Or is this normal after just 7 days from the surgery- I won’t have an accurate idea of how they will grow on the face?
Answer: The angles where the recipient sites were made is the angle that the new follicles will grow. While each surgeons method varies from the other, the angle at which the recipient sites were made is how the new follicles will grow after the transplanted follicles fall out and go through a resting phase. Because you are just seven days post-op (and there are np photos of the area) it is difficult to tell you if this is the angle the new follicles will begin to grow with the facial hair transplant with your final result. My advice would be to speak with your surgeon as a priority about any concerns you have in reference to the angles he or she created recently.

Answer: Beard hair It would be helpful to see some pictures of the transplanted hair. It is not unusual to have some change in the hair alignment within the first few days due to the swelling of skin. However at 2 weeks follow up you should be able to see a good view of how it will eventually look.

Answer: Hair Angle in Beard As with hair transplant on the head, the angle of the recipient sites made by the doctor is important for the best cosmetic result. Transplanted follicles will shed the hair and they will fall out between 2 and 4 weeks in general. As the shedding hairs approach the surface the angle may change. At this point best to wait for final result in 10-12 months.

Answer: 7 days post beard transplant At 7 days post beard transplant, it may be difficult to determine actually what direction your surgeon creased. Best seen the day of surgery and then when it grows. I would advise you to speak with your surgeon
