Hyperpigmentation after Restylane injection under eyes, not fading after 2 years. Is this permanent?

I developed PIH after filler injection for under eye bags. The injection made them worse, so I had them dissolved with hyaluronidase. Almost 2 years later it shows no sign of improvement. Everywhere says PIH recovery is up to 1 year, so I'm very disheartened now! Will it improve with time? I can't understand why it's taking so long... Could laser make it worse? I'm skin type II-III.

You would need an in-person consultation and examination to determine what's going on and the appropriate treatment. In general, hyperpigmentation can be improved using a combination of at-home skin care, chemical peels, and lasers. Make sure you see an experienced provider. Best wishes.

I suggest posting photos, I have cleared pigmentation from bruising and hemosiderin with lasers and peels and skin care.  If this is tyndall effect from fillers then we need to reverse the fillers. I suggest you see an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

If you have hyperpigmentation it can be improved with lasers, chemical peels etc. I recommend having a consultation with an expert to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
