Would high cheekbones look good with someone with eyes close together or would flat cheeks look better?

I suggest a formal consultation.  Fillers can be used to shape the face give it balance.  Without photos or seeing you in person it is very difficult to tell what is best with regards to filler placement, filler types and long term shaping. unfortunately you can't answer this without seeing photos.  In patients with deep set eye sockets cheek implants can make them look deeper because of a malar shelf, but again it is hard to advise without photos.

High prominent cheek bones will typically create a look that will make a face appear more attractive  more photogenic.

I have been using cheek implants for over 25 years and have never had a patient who looked like a chipmunk!  There are different styles/shapes of implants; different shapes for men and women.  You can certainly start with temporary fillers to the cheeks to get an idea of what you will have.  Photos would have helped.
