I'm only 18 but I'm very unhappy with some features of my face. I have more volume In my lower face- really chubby cheeks but not at the apple of my cheeks. The fat is much further down. It is at the corners of my mouth and makes me look really jowly. It doesn't help my cheekbones are lacking and I have less fat in my upper face. My chin is also quite small and round which I want to fix but gets very big when I smile. How can I make it lead into my jawline and get a stronger profile too? Thanks

Answer: How to achieve a heartshaped face Thank you for posting your enquiry. Many factors can be responsible for the elements you describe. Lack of volume on the midface can lead to prominent nasolabial folds as the fat pockets by lacking deep bony support can shift downwards and inwards. Also an overactive/hypertrophic masseter (a key jaw muscle) can lead to poor definition of the lower third of the face. Some patients have more buccal fat and this can give a fuller appearance to the face. All these factors can be addressed. Would be useful to see a photo. I am happy to take a look if you can email me at md@facialplasticslondon.com

Answer: Fat lower cheeks with weak profile. It is hard to give you exact information without seeing you or seeing photos of you. Facial shapes are different for men and women. Women tend to have soft, round cheeks while men have more angularity to their faces. Many times, just adding filler to the cheek/chin area can change the shape of the face. Sometimes, you need to have a bit of facial liposculpting. If you do not want to post photos on a public website, you can e-mail photos to our websites for evaluation.
