I'm only 18 but I'm very unhappy with some features of my face. I have more volume In my lower face- really chubby cheeks but not at the apple of my cheeks. The fat is much further down. It is at the corners of my mouth and makes me look really jowly. It doesn't help my cheekbones are lacking and I have less fat in my upper face. My chin is also quite small and round which I want to fix but gets very big when I smile. How can I make it lead into my jawline and get a stronger profile too? Thanks
Answer: How to imrprove weak cheeks and chin Based on your description it looks like you have insufficiently developed bonny structure of your cheeks and chin. The most logical approach to this problem would be augmentation of bonny structures by means of appropriately selected facial implants. These are usually silicone made implants of different size and shape that are placed over undeveloped (hypoplastic) bone to augment it..Iimplants are placed through a well hidden incisions inside your mouth, eyelids or underneath your chin. Complications of this surgery are rare if performed by an experienced plastic surgeon.Soft tissue on top or around implant may need treatment by means of augmentation or reduction to achieve balance and harmony of the entire face. This can be achieved adding your own fat tissue or artificial soft tissue fillers sometimes combined with conservative liposuction or direct removal of tissue in areas of redundancy (lower cheeks, jawline). It is important for you to seek consultation with plastic surgeon (or few of them) with experience in facial surgery and facial implants.

Answer: Unhappy with face, what are options? I suggest you speak to a facial contouring expert, you may be a candidate for liposuction of your lower face and other laser or filler procedures. If you are not a candidate for something noninvasive, they may be able to recommend a plastic surgeon for implants or jaw/chin surgery. I suggest seeking the advice of an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Reducing round face and chubby cheeks You can likely reduce the roundness of your face by filling your upper cheeks. Basically, your lower cheeks protrude more than your upper cheeks and temples. You can change that proportion by adding volume to your upper cheeks. You can increase the projection of your chin and improve your profile by filling your chin, too.

Answer: How to achieve a heartshaped face Thank you for posting your enquiry. Many factors can be responsible for the elements you describe. Lack of volume on the midface can lead to prominent nasolabial folds as the fat pockets by lacking deep bony support can shift downwards and inwards. Also an overactive/hypertrophic masseter (a key jaw muscle) can lead to poor definition of the lower third of the face. Some patients have more buccal fat and this can give a fuller appearance to the face. All these factors can be addressed. Would be useful to see a photo. I am happy to take a look if you can email me at md@facialplasticslondon.com

Answer: Fat lower cheeks with weak profile. It is hard to give you exact information without seeing you or seeing photos of you. Facial shapes are different for men and women. Women tend to have soft, round cheeks while men have more angularity to their faces. Many times, just adding filler to the cheek/chin area can change the shape of the face. Sometimes, you need to have a bit of facial liposculpting. If you do not want to post photos on a public website, you can e-mail photos to our websites for evaluation.
