Too much filler, wrong placement, or lips just don't handle filler correctly? Can it be fixed with lip flip botox? (photos)

Anyone who tells you to just let this treatment "wear off" does not understand these products. This filler will be there for years. Letting it wear off is a ridiculous suggestion. Your injector has over filled the edge of the lip to fill the white roll above the lip edge. It needs to be removed. I do believe that Restylane is the right product. Try to find injectors who understand facial volume.

Hello, thank you for your question. Botox would not help to improve this, filler has to be dissolve. I recommend you to schedule with a highly trained and experienced board certified plastic surgeon or or dermatologic surgeon for a personal evaluation.

Thank you for sharing you question and photos. You would not improve with injection of Botox. The treatment is to dissolve the product and have an experienced oculofacial surgeon perform  your procedure. The filler was injected too high. Good luck!

Thank you for your question!  If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. I would highly recommend getting a formal evaluation with and treatment from a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and expert in facial sculpting. I echo the sentiments of my colleagues. This filler was either injected in the wrong place, or migrated. Hylenex will dissolve it since it's a hyaluronic acid filler. You might need a couple of sessions with your injector to get it all dissolved. 2 weeks after your last Hylenex appointment, you should be able to try again. I really like Volbella, Vollure, and Restylane Refyne in the lips. Best of luck. 

Dear Calm5549,Your result has to do with injection technique, putting too much filler on the white roll of your lip. Consult with an experienced and qualified injector and show them these photos, no reason this should happen again. You will need all your filler dissolved and re-injected. From the photos, it appears that too much filler was added leading to the problems seen in the photos. In general, in frontal view, the upper lip should be about half the volume of the lower (or put another way, the upper lip volume should be about one-third the total volume of the both lips combined). In profile view, the upper lip should extend one to two millimeters beyond the pout of the center of the lower lip. From the photos provided, it seems as though the lower lip was over-inflated en route to the unwanted "duck lips" and the upper lip over-inflated to the point of having an overly wide "white roll," hence the "mustache" you don't like. You would be wise to discuss having the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase after which you should consider consulting with an experienced, board certified aesthetic physician in order to achieve more natural results. Make sure going forward to ask the injector to show you his/her personal before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. There is a chance that this is poor filler placement or too much filler. If you want to avoid hyaluronidase, you can wait some time for it to dissolve.  
I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns.
I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections.Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.

I agree with the other reviews that too much filler has been placed into the lip and you have swollen up a fair bit. Typically the upper to lower lip proportion needs to be maintained to get the best outcome and sits at 0.6 for upper lip to 1 For lower lip. So the upper lip is slimmer than the lower lip. 
I would not recommend Botox as this can complicate matters. Hyaluronidase enzyme should work and the pain of this injection could be reduced by having a nerve block. This needs to be of course done by an expert board certified plastic surgeon with good training in dealing with more complex situations.
Please identify the practitioner and then proceed with caution. The result will take time to settle after the above and patience is necessary in this sometimes arduous process.
