How many units of Botox would I need for horizontal wrinkle between eyes? (Photo)

These lines can also be treated with Botox injections, strategically placed to relax the specific muscle that forms them. You would need to be assessed in person to determine the precise dosing amount that will work the best for you, but I would guess an injector would start with about 6 units and increase depending on the severity of the crease. Make sure you work with a board-certified dermatologist with ample Botox training to ensure an optimal outcome.

Botox is generally an on off switch for muscle activity. I get a fair amount of actors/actresses in my practice that are looking to reduce wrinkles but keep some expression. Finding an experienced physician injector is your best bet.Most of patients see first changes after 4-7 days and the final results after 10-14 days.It depends on the amount of Botox and area where it is injected but it usually last for 3-4 months. You can start with 5-10 units and see the results, it is always easy to add more if it is needed.

Thank you for your question.Botox can be used to improve wrinkles around the eye. Deeper wrinkles need a combination approach with Botox and lasers, microneedling/prp and fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

To treat the glabellar wrinkles in our office, the vertical line, we inject with 20 units of Botox to allow for complete relaxation of the muscle.  Hope this helps!

The lines you are referring to, also known as bunny lines, can be treated with Botox. Placing 5 units on either side of the nose is the usual amount but I also recommend you follow up with your provider in 2 weeks to ensure optimal results.

If you are only wishing to treat that one area you can probably relax it with 5-8 units of Botox.  The product is in full effect two weeks after injection.  The results will wear off gradually over 3 to 4 months.

The muscle which causes that specific horizontal wrinkle between your eyes is the procerus muscle. This can be improved with about 5 units of botox. If the wrinkle is extremely deep even when at rest or sleeping, then you may benefit from filler as well.  I would recommend visiting an experience botox injector who is aware of which specific muscle this is so that it can be appropriately treated.
