What filler and how many syringes/ml do you recommend for my tear trough area and lines on the side of my mouth? (photos)

fillers. Restylane and Belotero work great for the tear trough and Restylane Defyne works great in the nasolabial folds. I would expect that it will take 2 syringes of belotero to give the best results under the eyes and 2 syringes of restylane or juvederm for the nasolabial areas. Each syringe is roughly $550.

There are many options for fillers, laser and skin care in this area. The most important thing is that you find someone who is experienced to treat you.  I suggest someone who uses cannula injections for fillers, as the chance for bruising and swelling in these areas are very high with needle injection.  Also, only an inperson consultation can give you the answers you are looking for.  If you are treating both the undereyes and around the mouth you will likely need a few syringes of a product.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Looking at your photos, you may need a combination of the filler and the lower blepharoplasty, to remove the excess of fat on that area, and to improve the area of the tear trough. The filler alone, will not give you a complete result. For the lower eyelids the Belotero and Juvederm Volbella, are will be my choice. Also you can benefit from a filler in the cheek area like Juvederm Voluma, and this will give you a more balanced facial contour.

Hi Eva. I typically take a conservative approach when treating the tear troughs with filler. Typically it does not take more than 1 syringe to achieve a nice correction. It is always easier to add more later, rather than trying to correct overfilled tear troughs. The filler I would use would be Belotero. You also have some fat herniation under your eyes. These can be camouflaged with filler, but not taken away. There is not a good view of the lines around your mouth in your picture, but usually a total of 2 syringes is required for optimal correction (1 for each side). You would need about 1 (maximum 2) syringes of filler (either Restylane or Belotero) for the under eye tear trough area.  I am not sure you need any for the nasolabial folds yet.  See an oculoplastic specialist.

There are several fillers available on the market, and each has certain characteristics that make them better suited for injections into a particular area.  It is difficult to assess how much volume you need to correct the tear troughs.  However, in general, good results can be achieved in most people with 1 syringe.  A consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon can help you understand what your options are.  Best wishes.
