Can you get a facelift if you’ve had Sculptra?

 Replacing lost volume and building lift into your face with the dermal filler Sculptra Aesthetic is a great strategy for putting off a facelift for years or forever. Sculptra stimulates your skin to produce more of its own rejuvenating collagen. If you do feel like getting a surgical lift down the road, previous, professionally injected Sculptra should not interfere at all with your results. With Sculptra, the effects last approximately two years, so the Sculptra injected over time should not have a permanent effect on future surgery. Occasionally I see too much Sculptra placed at once or all placed in just one area and the face became too thick and firm. Then it would be hard to lift with surgery. Sculptra injected well by an experienced injector will be smooth and soft. Many of my Sculptra patients have later gone on to surgery with lovely results. As always, please find a board-certified dermatologist to administer Sculptra beautifully and safely.
