Sculptra is a stimulating agent that normally requires several treatment sessions to produce gradual improvement. If you have only had one treatment session, it would not be unusual that you have not seen much change yet. In regards to treating the back of the hands, I believe that Radiesse is the only filler that is FDA-approved to treat the back of the hands. Other fillers can be used but this would be considered an off-label usage.
Sculptra takes multiple sessions for optimal results and usually takes 3-6 months to see peak results. It's not my first choice for hand rejuvenation. I prefer a combination of Fillers and Lasers to help improve the appearance of the hands. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician injector. Best wishes.
Hi Henry. In the hands, we prefer Radiesse. Yes Sculptra does have a long duration and does stimulate the production of your own collagen. But with a 12 month duration and a bit cheaper pricing, we do a fine job with Radiesse. It also provides immediate results.
Keep in mind, the hands need a combination approach to get improvement. Hands can be improved with fillers very easily, and I love combining this with fraxel laser to tighten and improve texture. Belotero and Radiesse give natural looking results. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist with expertise in hand rejuvenation to go over the recommended timeline. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hello henry0505:Sculptra is a biostimulatory filler that requires multiple sessions for maximal and durable results. Your second session can be one month after the first. If a third session is needed it can be one to 3 months later. With each session, you see even more of a response to the same amount if Sculptra. Corrections lasts for at least 2 years. Radiesse is also biostimulatory, but, in addition, you achieve immediate correction as well. It is approved by the FDA for hand rejuvenation, as is Restylane Lyft.I have used all three fillers and each has certain advantages. Since you have already had one treatment with Sculptra I suggest you have another, and you should see even more correction per vial. Enjoy your summer! Dr. Clark
Kybella for cellulite takes several vials (dependent on case), multiple treatments, and time to see results. A combination approach would give you the most improvement. Cellfina itself is the best treatment we have for cellulite but works best in combination with Sculptra, and body treatments l...
Sculptra is a great product for long lasting results. You can't judge the results of Sculptra immediately after injections since the large amount of saline used will definitely distort your appearance until the results settle in. It takes about four weeks from the injections to see the full r...
Your specialist will have their own formulation for dilution. I dilute mine in saline and xylocaine a few days prior to injection. Each will have their own dilution ratio. All the best, Dr Davin Lim
